Where has time gone

I can't believe it is already the middle of June. I had my surgery a little over a month ago and to day I have lost 29 lbs. There have been a few bumps in the road. I have had some trouble with my heart which has lead to stress tests and now I have to have an angiogram done. Hopefully that will go ok. I will check on posting some pictures here in the near future. We have not been very good about taking pictures to document my journey. Stay tuned.

And the Journey Continues

May 15, 2011
It has been a long time since I posted and my journey has actually taken a turn. On May 9th I had Gastric Bypass Surgery. I have been home for 3 days now and all is going well. I am tired tonight and my mind is not thinking clearly. Tomorrow I will post a lot more about my journey and how I arrived at having the surgery. Stay tuned.

First meeting with coach

Yesterday, Nov. 19th was my first meeting with my coach. She told me I was an A+ student for the week. That made me feel really good because it means I am following the program that she set up for me. In the meeting she told me I had lost 2.6 lbs but when I got home and started figuring things out it was acutally 5.4 lbs. I had to call her and tell her and she was really happy for me. She said she thinks I am her all time high for losing the most weight in a week. Now I have to be sure to continuing following the program. At times it would be so easy to slip but I would only be hurting myself. And after all I am doing this for myself so I will keep to the program. It feels great to be doing something positive that is making me feel good both physically and emotionally.

My beginning journey

After years of unsuccessful weight loss I finally have decided to become serious. I want to take you on my journey so hop on and enjoy the ride. I will try and post something daily so you know where I am at. I have already been at this for a week now and so far so good. Nothing like learning how to ride a bike all over again. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? I am ready for this journey and am looking forward to what awaits me at the end.
